08/05/2008 : TFG WINS BEST UK FEATURE FILM AWARD

The Feral Generation has scooped the award for Best UK Feature Film at the Swansea Life Film Festival's gala ceremony. 

 

The film beat out tough competition to win the award,which was accepted at the televised event by Writer/Director Andrew Jones and Producer/Actor Ray Panthaki.

06/05/2008 : MASTERPLAN LINK UP WITH MVM ENTERTAINMENT

Masterplan Film Productions Ltd have agreed a 7 year Licensing Agreement with South Wales based distributor MVM Entertainment

 

MVM Entertainment is part of the MVM Group,established since 1990. Having become the leading supplier of all things Anime in the UK,both retail and wholesale,the company is now expanding into the distribution of live action feature films.  MVM is unique in it’s multi-level supply, acting as licensor, distributor, wholesaler and retailer.  Under the terms of the agreement, MVM will have the exclusive option to distribute all of Masterplan's productions in the UK Home Entertainment market until the year 2015.

02/05/2008 : THE FERAL GENERATION FESTIVAL PREMIERE

Andrew Jones' second feature film THE FERAL GENERATION will have it's official Festival premiere on Saturday 7th of June at the Dylan Thomas Centre in Swansea.             

                                

The film is being screened as part of the 2008 Swansea Life Film Festival and is also nominated for two awards at the festival gala, Best UK Feature Film and Best Wales Based Production.

The festival screenings begin at 10.a.m and end at around 5pm. THE FERAL GENERATION is scheduled to screen for 91 minutes some time between 11am and 2pm.

29/4/2008 : THE FERAL GENERATION NOMINATED FOR AWARDS

Andrew Jones' second feature film The Feral Generation has been nominated for two awards by the judging panel at the 2008 Swansea Life Film Festival Awards.

 

The film has been nominated for BEST UK FEATURE FILM and BEST WALES BASED PRODUCTION and will have it's official premiere at the festival on June the 4th. The awards take place on the 7th of June and will be screened live on the UK TV station RED on Sky channel 186. 

 10/4/2008 : NEW PRODUCER FOR THE BEAUTIFUL OUTSIDERS

Craig Osborne has come on board with The Beautiful Outsiders as co-producer.

   

Craig has worked on a number of productions over the years as an actor, writer and producer. He landed a role in the popular Welsh soap "Nuts & Bolts" as Foz Foster, before cut-backs forced the premature termination of the series. Craig then worked on a trilogy of Sgrin funded short films reflecting a dramatized sociological view of his hometown Port Talbot. Most recently he has produced a number of productions for Boomerang and S4C Television.

7/2/2008 : STEPHANIE JAMES COMPLETES TBO CAST

Stephanie James has agreed to come on board with THE BEAUTIFUL OUTSIDERS in the major role of 'Shannon'.

 



Stephanie came to prominence with 2004's 'A Way of Life' and won 2 BAFTA awards for the role, one for Best Actress and one for Best Newcomer. She also won Best Actress for the role at the Bratislava International Film Festival.

The cast of THE BEAUTIFUL OUTSIDERS is now complete!

6/2/2008 : JOHN FALLON JOINS TBO CAST

John Fallon is officially on board with THE BEAUTIFUL OUTSIDERS. He will play the role of Charlie in the film.

   

John is a screenwriter, actor and film critic. His previous credits as an actor include SAW II, ALONE IN THE DARK, DEADEN and the forthcoming 100 FEET. John is also known as movie critic Arrow in the Head who writes for the brilliant JOBLO.COM website.

19/1/2008 : CABLE CONNECTS TO TBO

Former Stereophonics drummer Stuart Cable has accepted the role of Harry in The Beautiful Outsiders.

    

Stuart now drums with the rock band Killing For Company as well as having a successful Television Presenting career with two of his own shows, Cable TV and Cable Connects, on the BBC. He also has his own BBC radio show, Cable Rock, and recently appeared in the feature film Abraham’s Point

15/1/2008 : TWO MORE ACTORS ON BOARD WITH TBO

Sarah Barrand and Ari Gill have both joined the cast of The Beautiful Outsiders.

      

Sarah shot to fame playing Shannon in Footballer's Wives, a role she played for three years on the ITV show. She has also starred in Casualty and The Royal and will be appearing in two other features films this year, Bridge of Lies and Stag Night. Sarah will be playing the role of Mandy.

Ari is a very talented young actor on the rise. He has previously starred in the feature films Roswell 1847 and I Can't Think Straight. Ari will be playing the role of the Surveillance Cop in the film.

10/1/2008 : MASTERPLAN'S NEW RECRUITS

Masterplan's Staff roster has been completed with the recruitment of Alan D.Pughe and David Melkevik to handle Script Submissions for the company.

1/1/2008 : MASTERPLAN'S PROJECTS FOR 2008

Masterplan Film Productions Ltd have a number of projects at various stages of production as we enter 2008.

       

First into production will be THE BEAUTIFUL OUTSIDERS, a crime drama/road movie in the vein of 'Badlands' and 'True Romance'.  With a host of international stars already attached, the project is being prepped for a summer shoot on location in South Wales. Also planned to go into production this year, comedy HOW TO MAKE A MOVIE will mark the company's first US based production when it begins shooting in Los Angeles later this year. Negotiations on our third project THE DRILLER KILLER will be concluded soon and the script is set to be completed in February.

     

Other projects currently at the script stage include the horror films SLAUGHTER INN and FATHER'S DAY as well as the TV dramas FORBIDDEN LOVE and TWO PEOPLE. We are also planning on branching into other areas of production, with an Animation project in the works and Music Video concepts being developed. 

     

Masterplan Films' Staff roster continues to grow with journalist and writer Christian Sellers coming on board to handle Public Relations for the company. Christian joins Ian Grey (Technical Director) Melanie Lloyd (Head of Creative Development)  as part of the Masterplan team.

THE FERAL GENERATION begins it's festival run this year with the film having already been selected to screen at three festivals in 2008.

    

The film will have it's Welsh Premiere at the Swansea Life Film Festival on June the 5th and will then screen at the Heart of England Festival in Tamworth later that month before screening at the Everglades Festival in South Africa in October.
